About the Author

Deborah Sarty is a Canadian writer with a soft spot for strong coffee, quiet mornings, and characters who surprise her. A lifelong reader and late‑blooming novelist, she writes short stories, children’s picture books and the occasional novel with heart, often with humor and usually with a cat nearby. Her stories are set in towns and cities across Canada, drawn from memory, imagination and the deep belief that everyday lives are worth writing about.
Now retired, she shares one story a month through her free, no‑ad newsletter, Deb’s Quill, for anyone who still believes a good story is worth sitting still for.
